HYPHEN ARTIST program

The Hyphen Artist Program is an innovative concert dance training laboratory located in Southern California, co-founded and directed by Megan Allen. Drawing from nearly a decade of experience educating and mentoring dancers, Megan created this program to fulfill her vision of providing a dedicated space where dancers can prioritize their individual artistry, refine their technical skills, and advance their professional aspirations.

Our carefully crafted curriculum equips dancers with essential tools and transformative experiences designed to unlock, deepen, and revitalize their connection to the art of dance. Through this comprehensive approach, students develop both the technical precision and artistic authenticity needed to thrive in today's dance landscape.

Program members enjoy exclusive access to distinguished local and international guest artist-educators, enriching their personal artistic research while strengthening their adaptability to diverse creative processes and collaborative environments. We believe it's essential for dancers to explore their identity not only as artists but as whole individuals, preparing them to enter professional spaces with confidence, integrity, and purpose.

Through this holistic developmental approach, we empower emerging artists to invest deeply in their personal and artistic growth, ensuring they are thoroughly prepared for success in their dance careers and beyond.

Our HYPHEN ARTIST PROGRAM season runs from September - April of every year and meets to train weekly on Sundays from 1:15-4:30P at Prynstev Ballet Academy in Laguna Hills with additional HYPHEN ART HOUSE workshops and masterclasses throughout the season and an incredible performance opportunity with Laguna Dance Festival.

Megan also offers private lessons outside of training hours for dancers who want more mentoring and coaching for competition solos or personal goals.
